Aron Mikus, I am a contemporary sculptor exploring the relationship between form, material, and emotion. My work focuses on balance, structure, and the expressive power of physical materials. Through sculpture, I aim to create a dialogue between space, object, and viewer, crafting forms that feel both grounded and poetic.
My sculptural practice moves toward abstraction, with drawing serving as a primary conceptual starting point. I explore the relationship between form and space through the interaction of natural and geometric structures, lines, and surface textures.
After studying at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, I developed an interest in large-scale public sculpture. My work investigates balance, tension, and spatial presence.
Initially working with marble and limestone, I later shifted toward biomorphic forms shaped by intuition and archetypal references. My practice combines traditional bronze casting with contemporary technologies such as 3D printing.
Working across scales, from small sculptures to monumental public works, I am particularly interested in dimensional transformation. My public sculptures engage viewers physically and visually, creating reflective surfaces and spatial experiences that activate their surroundings.
